Featured Resources
The latest installment of our Heartland Conversations happened around a camp fire in David and Alissa Herbon's back yard. The discussion centered around how we are to think about the place technology plays in contemporary life. The writings of Wendell Berry served to guide part of the conversation, and of particular interest was the subject of contraception and other life-regulating technologies
Luckily the conversation started faster than the fire (the wood was wet), and with Rich and Lynnell Knight of Arni's of Lebanon providing the snacks, we really enjoyed the evening. Thanks to all who participated.
Check back regularly to find out about the next Conversation, of if you have a subject/author/idea you would like to see us do, don't hesitate to let us know.

Now and then we run across information that we think people like you might want to know about. As such we thought you should know about this innovative new school that is now open for applications for the next school year. We would invite those interested to log onto the website and contact them for more information.
HERRON HIGH SCHOOL
Herron High School is a college preparatory school that will offer a classical liberal arts education and provide an “early college” experience with Marian College. As a public charter school, Herron High School is open to students in any neighborhood in the state of Indiana and does not charge tuition.
The school will open with 100 ninth graders in the fall of 2006 at its temporary location, the Harrison Center for the Arts (16th and Delaware). One grade will be added each year until a capacity of 400 students in grades 9-12 is reached. The school will move to its permanent location at the restored former Herron School of Art campus (17th and Pennsylvania) in 2007.
Applications are currently being accepted.
Please visit Herron High School or call (317) 231-0010.

Heartland Conversations
These Conversations are informal small group discussions designed to be very simple and straightforward events, that give the widest variety of people possible a platform from which to share their stories, their ideas, and their passions with us. It is our belief that in essence, spending time together in conversation is a profoundly spiritual experience. When we give something to someone else, in many cases, we are then minus whatever we have given. But conversation is one of those most precious of activities, in which gifts are exchanged, that instead of taking away from our store, creatively add to our lives. The Heartland Conversations are invitation only events, and if you would like to attend, please contact us to be added to the mailing list.

Phenomenon
Faith...vocation...culture. The biblical vision of life and the world, pondered and practiced for many centuries in myriad cultures... forming what we do and why we do what we do... forming our responsibility for history, for the way culture is and isn't.
The end? That we might develop eyes to see the world the way God does. Or in the words of Bono, poet of Dublin and conscience to the world, "to feel the world" as God does.

MARS HILL AUDIO exists to assist Christians who desire to move from thoughtless consumption of modern culture to a vantage point of thoughtful engagement. We believe that fulfilling the commands to love God and neighbor requires that we pay careful attention to the neighborhood: that is, every sphere of human life where God is either glorified or despised, where neighbors are either edified or undermined.
